Italy's Rugby World Cup hopes have already been hit by injury with the news that Angelo Esposito is out of the tournament.
The winger injured his left shoulder and has been ruled out for around six to eight weeks due to a partial dislocation, ruling him out of the World Cup.
Head coach Jacques Brunel hasn't opted for a direct replacement for Esposito, instead calling up flanker Simone Favaro of Glasgow Warriors.
Favaro's call-up now gives the Italian squad a split of 17 forwards and 14 backs for the tournament.
Italy open their campaign in Pool D against France at Twickenham on September 19.
