Italy have called up Luciano Orquera as fly-half cover ahead of their Six Nations clash with France on Sunday.
The veteran Zebre fly-half has been called up with both Tommaso Allan and Kelly Haimona suffering injury scares this week.
Allan has been struggling with a twisted ankle, while Haimona suffered genital trauma during training yesterday.
As a result Jacques Brunel has decided to bring in Orquera, whose last appearance for Italy came in November against South Africa.
Orquera produced arguably his finest performance for Italy against les Bleus two years ago in Rome, helping them to a 23-18 win as he set up both tries and chipped in with ten points from the kicking tee.
