‘It doesn’t count for much’ – Smith

Cheetahs coach Franco Smith has played down the significance of winning seven games from seven.

The Bloemfontein side put the Pumas to the sword with a 52-10 win in Nelspruit on Friday evening and now have a strong hold on the table with one game left to play before the semi-finals start.

The Cheetahs boss said, although they enjoy the unbeaten tag, they can still improve.

"It doesn't count for much, the unbeaten record, although it is nice," Smith told News24.

"We want to play better each week and there some really good stuff at certain parts of the game. A little bit disappointed that we took our foot off the pedal to the end in the sense that we weren't as precise with our execution.

"We need to play for 80 so that will be the thing we look at now."
