Iribaren wins it late for Montpellier

Teddy Iribaren’s last-minute penalty gave Montpellier a much-needed 23-20 win over Toulouse to end a run of seven straight defeats.

The home scrum proved to be the difference between the sides, as Toulouse twice lost a man to a yellow card, while also conceding a penalty try, paying the price for being without their first and second-choice tightheads.

Despite two tries for Vincent Clerc while Toulouse were down a man, they conceded a late penalty for a high tackle, losing a second straight Top 14 game as a result of Iribaren’s three-pointer.
