Wales coach Warren Gatland's Six Nations squad to be named on Tuesday is set to feature a number of currently injured players.

Wales are seeking an historic championship title hat-trick but Gatland is likely to have several injury-related selection headaches ahead of their first game against Italy on February 1.

Top of the list of injury concerns is captain Sam Warburton, who has not played since the November Tests due to a shoulder problem and is on a tight deadline to be fit in time for the opening game.

Cardiff Blues prop Gethin Jenkins is also doubtful after suffering a leg injury in Saturday's Heineken Cup loss to Toulon.

Centre Jonathan Davies will miss at least the first three games due to a pectoral injury sustained in November while fly-half Rhys Patchell will be absent after undergoing shoulder surgery which will rule him out for several months.

Good news, however, for Welsh fans is that Racing Metro centre Jamie Roberts is set to return from an ankle injury this weekend while Dragons forward Andrew Coombs should also be fit despite suffering a broken nose this weekend.
