Clermont have suffered a setback ahead of this weekend's Top 14 final against Stade Français, with international winger Noa Nakaitaci ruled out.
The 24-year-old Fijian born finisher, who made his debut for France in 2013's non-cap match against the Blues in New Zealand, is out with a knee injury.
According to La Montagne, Nakaitaci is suffering from a partial tear of the posterior cruciate ligament of the right knee but does not require surgery.
The injury, which requires a rest period of between six to eight weeks, will also be a concern to France head coach Philippe Saint-Andre, who named him in his 36-man World Cup training squad last month. He will miss the start of the camp.
