Cory Jane will miss the Hurricanes' Super Rugby semi-final against the Brumbies on Saturday, but the New Zealanders are boosted by the return of Beauden Barrett.
The winger has been struggling with a hamstring injury of late and only lasted 18 minutes on his return to action against the Chiefs two weeks ago. The All Black has not recovered sufficiently and as a result James Marshall moves to full-back, with Nehe Milner-Skudder switching to the wing.
Barrett missed the clash with the Chiefs due to a slight calf strain, but will return to the fray against the Brumbies, taking over the fly-half berth vacated by Marshall.
Ma'a Nonu is back in the number 12 shirt after sitting out the Canes' final round robin fixture. He replaces Rey Lee-Lo, who drops to the replacements.
Flanker Ardie Savea and lock James Broadhurst were named on the bench last time out, but return to the starting XV for the playoff fixture.
Utility back Matt Proctor and flanker Blade Thomson take up spots among the replacements after recovering from a concussion and an ankle injury respectively. Chris Smylie replaces Frae Wilson as the back-up number nine.
The Hurricanes, who finished the regular season at the top of the standings, are hosting a Super Rugby semi-final for the first time since 2006 when they beat the Waratahs 16-14.
