Highlanders lose Pryor to injury

Highlanders boss Jamie Joseph has confirmed that the side will be without Dan Pryor for next week's Super Rugby semi-final.

Pryor was forced off in the Qualifier win over the Chiefs with what appears to be a dislocated elbow.

The hard-grafting flanker won't play any part against the Waratahs in Sydney on Saturday in what is a major blow for both the player and the team.

Other concerns for the Highlanders include lock Alex AInley and centre Malakai Fekitoa, although Joseph expects the All Blacks centre to be passed fit.

"He's [Pryor] a big loss for us and Alex Ainley's played on a really crook knee, and he's tweaked that again," said Joseph.

"Malakai's scratched his eye. Because it's an eye there's some sensitivity around the area but I think he will be fine."
