Harlequins announced on Thursday that loosehead prop Dan Murphy will join them with immediate effect.
Confirming the news John Kingston, Harlequins director of rugby said: "I am delighted that Dan has chosen to join Harlequins, he will bring a wealth of experience in a key area for the team."
Murphy joins Harlequins after five years at Gloucester where he made 98 appearances, scoring eight tries. Prior to his time at Kingsholm, the 30 year-old made over 80 appearances for London Irish.
Commenting on the news, Murphy said: "I’m really excited to be involved with Harlequins, it is a great club with an impressive set up.
"I’ve always admired the way Harlequins play; every player is encouraged to get their hands on the ball and play. I’m excited to be a part of that and get going for the new season."
