Harlequins will host the Maori All Blacks at the Twickenham Stoop in November as part of their 150th anniversary celebrations

The Maori side won 11-5 in their last meeting with Harlequins, all the way back in 1926.

Maori rugby board chairman Wayne Peters said that the Maori All Blacks said the fixture would be a fantastic opportunity for players to make their mark on the international stage and take their rugby careers to the next level.

Peters told Stuff: “The Maori All Blacks are an important part of New Zealand Rugby's high performance strategy – and when they play on the international stage it is an opportunity to press for other honours.

"This is a fantastic tour for players and for fans in the USA, Ireland and UK.

“We're delighted to be taking the Maori All Blacks on what will be a challenging and exciting campaign.

“We're incredibly proud of this team and their ability to take their culture and style of rugby to the world.

“They're a special team that is popular anywhere they travel and they're always exciting to watch."

The Maori All Blacks take on the USA Eagles on Friday November 4 at Toyota Park in Chicago. They follow that clash up with an eagerly awaited clash against Munster on Friday, November 11 at Thomond Park before they end off their tour against Harlequins.
