Harlequins have extended the contract of Samoan international hooker Elia Elia, who will remain with the club for the remainder of the season.

Harlequins director of rugby John Kingston said he was excited to have the hooker at their disposal for the rest of the season.

"I am delighted that we have extended Elia’s contract," Kingston told the Harlequins website.

"In his short time here he has made a big impression and I have no doubt he will be pressing the existing hookers for regular game time."

The 20-year-old former Crusaders development member has been capped three times by Samoa and has been with Harlequins since early December.
