Tim Swiel scored a try and kicked 19 points with the boot as Quins beat Sale Sharks 29-26 on Saturday.
The match took some time to get going, but was an incident a minute affair going into the final minutes of the match as Sale threatened a late comeback before ultimately settling for a losing bonus point.
The two sides took part in a fairly quiet if not eventless opening quarter of the contest. Both teams traded penalties in the first 20 minutes, with Tim Swiel briefly equalising for the hosts in between two Will Addison efforts.
Josh Beaumont was then penalised for a high tackle allowing Swiel to record his second penalty of the afternoon, but it was the visitors who burst the game into life as Denny Solomona jumped on a loose ball over the try line to win the five points, making it his third try in as many weeks.
Addison kept up his scoring record to grant a seven point lead which was quickly eradicated. James Chisholm made a dashing run through the Sale backline before passing to Mike Brown who offloaded to Charlie Walker to crash beneath the posts.
Swiel’s conversion levelled the scores, and things soon got better for the hosts and the fly-half, who caught a loose ball kicked forward before going over and converting his own try right before the break.
The second half picked up where the first left off, with Swiel slotting a penalty, but Sale came back into the contest with Byron McGuigan going over after patient build up play after a superb pass from Johnny Leota, but Addison lost his 100% record from the tee.
Swiel was soon back in the limelight with another penalty kick after good work from Danny Care before Sale kicked three points of their own.
In the dying embers, Sale scored the final points of the game with an unconverted try with Solomona scoring his second five-point haul of the afternoon, but it was only good enough to get the losing bonus point as the hosts held out for the victory.
