Harlequins were made to work very hard before securing a 24-13 victory over bottom-placed London Welsh at the Kassam Stadium on Sunday.
London Welsh gave a good account of themselves in the first half with a try from Paul Rowley and a penalty from Will Robinson putting them very much in the game.
Harlequins however just held the lead at half-time with two tries courtesy of Karl Dickson and Marland Yarde giving them the 10-12 advantage.
After an impressive start, there was only one penalty for Robinson in the second half for London Welsh, meaning they fell to yet another defeat.
Two further tries for Harlequins courtesy of Kyle Sinckler and Tom Williams secured them the bonus point and the 13-24 victory.
There were no points in the opening quarter for either team until London Welsh struck with the try for Rowley on 21 minutes. An initial break by Robinson started the attack and Nick Scott offloaded to Robinson who crashed over for the try.
Harlequins reply came soon after when Dickson took a quick tap penalty and worked his way over the line but a missed conversion by Tim Swiel meant they still trailed the home side.
A penalty for Robinson gave his team a five point lead before Harlequins got themselves back into the game courtesy of Yarde.
The steal at the line-out made the break easy for Matt Hopper and he drew the defence out of their positions for Yarde to find the try line, giving a the visitors a small 10-12 lead going into half time.
Harlequins were the first to find the try line in the second half from the line-out, when Sinckler was beautifully set up by Yarde to smash over the line.
Robinson successfully kicked another penalty to keep the Exiles in the game but it was not to be as Williams struck in the last 10 minutes for Harlequins’ fourth try, which also secured them the bonus point as well as the 13-24 victory.
