France captain Guilhem Guirado is due to miss the start of the new Top 14 season with his club Toulon because of injury.
Guirado suffered a knee injury during the final defeat against Racing 92 in Barcelona back in June.
Rugbyrama report that although Guirado received a positive update following an MRI scan on Monday, he is unlikely to be fit in time for the start of the new campaign.
Guirado still faces a further five weeks out, meaning he will miss the start of the new season which kicks off on August 20.
Toulon start their campaign away from home at newly-promoted Bayonne.
