Uncapped Castres winger Rémy Grosso has been called up by France to replace Yoann Huget after he was ruled out of the World Cup.
The Toulouse winger tore his ACL during Saturday's opening win over Italy, suffering the injury in the second half of the game at Twickenham.
Philippe Saint-André has chosen the in-form Grosso to replace him, with the Castres winger having started the season promisingly.
Grosso scored nine tries for Castres last season, before joining up with the French sevens squad to help them qualify for next year's Olympic Games in Rio.
He could come straight into the side for Wednesday's clash with Romania, with just two wingers remaining in the French squad after Huget's injury.
