Japan full-back Ayumu Goromaru has reportedly received a contract offer to join Toulon next season after Super Rugby.
Canal reported on Sunday that the Japan star had agreed a move to join Toulon following the conclusion of the Super Rugby season.
However a spokesman for the Reds confirmed to AAP on Monday that while Goromaru has received an offer, he is yet to sign any deal with Toulon.
Even though Goromaru is yet to play a competitive fixture for his new club the Reds are understood to be keen to extend the 29-year-old's stay in Brisbane.
Goromaru was named by one French newspaper last week as the highest paid player in the world – based on his endorsements and salary from Japanese Top League side Yamaha Jubilo – earning around €200,000 per month.
