Giteau out for three weeks

Toulon have suffered a major setback after playmaker Matt Giteau was ruled out for three weeks of rugby due to an ongoing groin problem.

Giteau, who misses Sunday's crucial home clash with Bath, is also set to be absent for Champions Cup games against Wasps and Bath (away).

The Wallaby first suffered the injury against Stade Français during last season's Top 14 semi-final, with Bernard Laporte offering an update.

"Apparently it's not a groin strain," said the Toulon boss. "But when he plays, he suffers after half-time."

Quade Cooper will subsequently wear the number ten jersey for this weekend's fixture at Stade Mayol.
