Will Genia is set to use his time on Australia’s European tour to look at possible destinations for his career after the World Cup.

The Reds scrum-half has long been linked with a move to big-spending Bath, while there are a number of clubs in France’s Top 14 who are said to be interested in his services.

Genia has not yet decided what his future holds after the 2015 World Cup, but it seems increasingly likely that he will leave Australia.

And with long-time teammate Adam Ashley-Cooper having already announced that he will be heading to the northern hemisphere in 2016, Genia revealed he was exploring his options.

“Those sorts of things (moving to Bath) are a reality,” Genia said.

“Guys are obviously going to look at their options, whether it be here in England or France or elsewhere.

“You don’t come away (on tour) looking at it as an opportunity to meet people and whatnot but you’ve just got to understand it’s a reality.

“Adam Ashley-Cooper, for example, comes out to say he’s going to be looking offshore at the end of next year. Guys who are older and in the position, it’s going to be a little more appealing to.

“All options are open at this stage so we’ll just have to wait and see.”
