Wales head coach Warren Gatland has revealed that he discussed this week's World Cup warm-up team selection with Ireland boss Joe Schmidt.
Gatland, who named four uncapped players in his starting line-up, said the pair had a phone conversation about how they would approach Saturday's game.
It therefore appears that Ireland will name an experimental squad in Cardiff.
"Joe rang me last week to talk about what we were looking at in the squad," Gatland told BBC Sport.
"I said we were going to have a mixed squad with an opportunity for some younger players.
"He sort of indicated that they were probably going to do the same thing.
"I think they will experiment with the squad too."
