Fruean picked for Bath United

Robbie Fruean will make his debut for Bath on Monday evening when he lines-up for Bath United against Gloucester United at Kingsholm.

The former Crusaders centre, who joined Bath at the end of October following the conclusion of the Mitre Cup in New Zealand, will form a midfield partnership with Jeff Williams.

After scoring a hat-trick in his last appearance for United against Exeter Braves earlier this month, England U18 international Levi Davis will line up on the left wing, with the right wing occupied by Harry Davies, who also returns from injury for his first appearance since pre-season. Will Partington takes his place at full-back.

Forming the half-back partnership are Will Homer and Adam Hastings, who will look to orchestrate proceedings at Kingsholm.

David Sisi also marks his comeback from a spell on the sidelines at blindside flanker and will be joined in a formidable back row by captain Guy Mercer at openside and Paul Grant at number eight.

Jack Walker starts at hooker with November’s BMT Academy Player of the Month Beno Obano and Simon Kerrod either side of the 20-year-old in the front row.
