Clermont lock Sebastien Vahaamahina has been called up to the France squad to replace the suspended Romain Taofifenua.

Clermont lock Sebastien Vahaamahina has been called up to the France squad to face Fiji next weekend as a replacement for the suspended Romain Taofifenua.

Toulon forward Taofifenua was ruled out of the upcoming internationals against Fiji and Australia after being banned for three weeks for kicking Ulster centre Stuart Oldfield in the head during last weekend’s European Cup clash between the two sides.

23-year-old Vahaamahina has played 14 times for France, most recently in the humiliating 50-23 thrashing by Australia in June.
