The Barbarians have added four more All Blacks to their squad for their clashes against Australia and Leicester Tigers in November.
All Blacks Colin Slade, Stephen Luatua, Matt Todd and Dominic Bird have been added to the Barbarians squad for their clashes against Australia and Leicester Tigers in November.
Crusaders fly-half Slade kicked the last-minute conversion which broke Wallabies hearts and secured a 29-28 Bledisloe Cup win in Brisbane on Saturday.
Slade, Luatua, Todd and Bird all missed out on selection for New Zealand’s end of year tour to the USA but have been included in the Baa-baas squad along with uncapped Blues and Taranaki prop Angus Ta’avao for the Killik Cup match against the Wallabies at Twickenham on November 1 and the clash with Leicester at Welford Road on November 4.
They join countrymen Frank Halai, Tim Nanai-Williams, Francis Saili and World Cup winner Adam Thomson in in the squad.
Baa-baas head coach Sir John Kirwan has also called up Scotland lock Alastair Kellock, alongside South African scrum-half Sarel Pretorius and Springboks international centre Juan de Jongh.
Kirwan has already revealed the inclusion of internationals Matt Stevens, Heinrich Brussow, Coenie Oosthuizen, Mahonri Schwalger, Fumiaki Tanaka, World Cup winner CJ Van der Linde and popular Australian wing Nick Cummins in his squad.
