England fly-half George Ford is backing wing Semesa Rokoduguni to impress if given a starting jersey against Fiji at Twickenham on Saturday.

The club and international team-mates could line up alongside each other against Fiji this week, with Rokoduguni set to earn a rare start.

Ford believes the wing is going to relish the opportunity, if it comes, saying that his finishing ability is the best he has seen in his career.

“He is the most dangerous player I’ve ever played with,” he told England Rugby as Eddie Jones’ men look to continue their run of victories.

“The best finisher I have ever played with. This year with Bath if you give him the ball and a little bit of space you can see what he can do.”

As Ford says, Rokoduguni has impressed for Bath this season and is set to take the place of Marland Yarde in the side against Fiji, with Ford full of praise for him not just in an attacking sense but also defensively.

“People don’t often see the work he does when he hasn’t got the ball,” he added.

“The decisions he makes in defence, getting man and ball. His understanding of when to come infield to get the ball and when to hold the width is great as are his aerial skills.

“He’s also an unbelievable finisher. He’s quality, a great guy to have in your team and if he plays we’ll certainly be looking to get the ball in his hands as much as possible.”
