Munster head coach Anthony Foley hailed the finishing of Simon Zebo as he enjoyed his first home win as new boss of the Irish province on Friday.

Zebo claimed a hat-trick for the hosts as they eased past Zebre 31-5, with Andrew Smith and Dave Kilcoyne adding further scores in the match.

But it was the lethal wing who Foley had reserved special praise for as Munster continue their revival following an opening round defeat to Edinburgh.

“He [Zebo] is brilliant, he'll sniff out anything for you,” said Foley, speaking to PRO12rugby.com after the bonus-point victory at Thomond Park.

“He was at the end of some very good work by others.

“Ronan [O'Mahony] caught one and put him away, Andrew [Smith] made a lovely outside break and put him away.

“He's got a knack for scoring so it was great to see him getting over the line.

“However, we've more to do and to work on and ball control is one of those things to look at.”
