Clermont inside centre Wesley Fofana has put pen to paper on a new three-year contract extension, the Top 14 giants announced on Thursday.
One year before the expiry of his current contract, the free-running 27-year-old French international midfield man has tied up his future until June 2019.
"Wesley grew up in our training centre before playing at the highest level with the team, and for France. He is an example of the way the club has chosen to invest in players and it is with great pride for Clermont to keep him at the club until 2019," sporting director, Jean-Marc Lhermet told Clermont's website.
"There is a certain logic in my desire to continue the adventure here," said Fofana.
"I arrived at the academy before progressing to the highest level, gaining experience and developing myself in these colours.
"In the professional world, it has become rare to remain loyal to one club, so I'm very proud stay with a club like ASM, which will have even better infrastructure next season.
"I am confident that the club will continue to be ambitious and challenge for titles, which is also my desire.
"I enjoy my life in Clermont, I'm proud to wear the ASM jersey and play in front of a passionate crowd every week.
"All of these factors have made my decision as logical as it was easy. "
