New signing Toby Flood has been passed fit for Toulouse's Top 14 opener this weekend at home to Oyonnax.

The former Leicester Tigers fly-half picked up a knock in the 19-time champions' final pre-season game against Bayonne last weekend.

His fitness is good news for Toulouse and Guy Novès, given that Flood's rival for the number ten shirt, Luke McAlister, is unavailable with an abdominal injury.

Flood is one of five signings made by Toulouse for the new season, including Corey Flynn, Imanol Harinordoquy, Alexis Palisson and Neemia Tialata.

Gillian Galan, the monster number eight who caught the eye in last season's Heineken Cup, is however a major doubt.

Club captain Thierry Dusautoir is unavailable along with Schalk Ferreira, Chiliboy Ralepelle and Louis Picamoles.
