Fleck expects tough Jaguares test

Stormers head coach Robbie Fleck thinks the pre-season fixture against Super Rugby newcomers Jaguares will provide an important litmus test for his team ahead of the 2016 campaign.

The Stormers will open their 2016 campaign in what is expected to be a bruising encounter against the Bulls at Newlands. Jaguares, being a team from Argentina, are expected to provide a physical test against Fleck's outfit. The timing seems ideal.

"I certainly feel that the Jaguares are the threat in the South African conferences. That is a tough pool that the Lions, the Sharks and the Southern Kings are in with the Jaguares there," Fleck told the Stormers website.

"I feel that if you go according to what they did at the World Cup and the amount of players that they have got in their squad that were at the World Cup, they are a real danger not just to the South African sides but to the New Zealand sides that they will be playing as well."
