Fiji star Nalaga could miss RWC

Fiji winger Napolioni Nalaga is in danger of missing out on the Rugby World Cup due to injury.

Nalaga has been sidelined by an undisclosed injury since the Pacific Nations Cup a few weeks ago and may not recover in time for the tournament.

The former Clermont star has scored nine tries for Fiji in 21 Tests since his debut back in 2008.

Fiji's other wingers in their 38-man training squad for the World Cup include Nemani Nadolo, Waisea Nayacalevu and Asaeli Tikoirotuma.

“I think I will wait for the full medical diagnosis," said Fiji head coach John McKee.

"But I think at this stage, it will keep him out of contention for the 31 but it doesn’t discount him being a standby player to come in if we have an injury."
