Grenoble winger Alipate Ratini will miss the rest of the Top 14 season and the Rugby World Cup because of a ruptured Achilles tendon.
The Fijian flyer has been one of the revelations of the season in France, but suffered the injury during Saturday's 42-33 defeat to Bayonne.
Grenoble boss Fabrice Landreau confirmed that he was suffering from a ruptured Achilles which will keep him out for a minimum of six months.
That means he'll miss Grenoble's run-in as well as the World Cup with Fiji later this year.
Grenoble could do with the 24-year-old, as they desperately battle for top flight survival.
Having been in a good position to make the play-offs, they have gone on a run of three straight defeats and are now just a point clear of Bayonne in thirteenth.
