Argentina tighthead Juan Figallo will miss the World Cup after suffering a knee injury that required an operation.
The Pumas confirmed today that Figallo is in London where he has undergone surgery on his knee, which he injured in training this week.
He will be out of action for three to four months as a result, and will not feature at the World Cup.
Figallo, who helped Saracens to the Premiership title last season, was in Australia with Argentina as they prepare for the start of the Rugby Championship.
However after suffering the injury, he quickly flew to England, where he underwent surgery on his left knee.
The 27-year-old has had a tough time of it on the injury front, having missed almost a year because of a neck injury in 2014.
