Faulkner blow hits Force

Western Force have suffered a setback to their front-row after prop Tetera Faulkner was ruled out for the first six weeks of Super Rugby.

The 27-year-old international, who played twice for Australia in 2014, tore a medial collateral ligament in his knee which sidelines him.

News of the injury comes on the back of fellow prop Francois van Wyk having dislocated his wrist, ruling him out for six weeks of action.

The Force's remaining props for their opening fixture, at home to the Rebels, are Pek Cowan, Chris Heiberg, Ollie Hoskins and Guy Miller.
