Owen Farrell should be fit for the November Tests after Saracens revealed that he is expected back within the next fortnight.
There were concerns that he might be out long-term when a thigh strain ruled him out of Sarries’ game against Sale this weekend, but Mark McCall has calmed those fears.
England play New Zealand, South Africa, Samoa and Australia this November, with the first Test against the All Blacks coming on November 8 at Twickenham.
Farrell should be back in plenty of time for that game, with McCall indicating a time frame that would see him return in time for the start of Saracens’ European campaign.
“We don’t expect Owen to be out for long, we’re looking at it on a week by week basis,” McCall said.
“It’s a very minor strain and we’re looking at a couple of weeks, maximum.”
