Brumbies loosehead prop Ruan Smith is confident that blindside flanker Scott Fardy will be fit to feature against the Force in Canberra on Saturday.

The Wallaby back-row, who was covered in blood from two collisions against the Blues last Friday, has sat out training so far this week.

But Smith thinks Fardy is in line to play in their regular-season finale.

"I'm pretty sure Fards is fine," he told AAP.

"He looks alright. I think he's just sitting out as a precaution and to rest up a bit.

"We'll see when the team gets announced."

The Brumbies will qualify for the knockout stage should they avoid letting the Waratahs, who face the Blues, better their result this week.
