Newcastle Falcons have signed centre Nick Reynolds until the end of the current season.
The big centre joins from London Welsh, and began training with his new team-mates on Friday.
Born in Wales, the English-qualified midfield man played 31 Pro12 games and a further five in the Heineken Cup for Scarlets before joining London Welsh in the summer of 2014.
During the Exiles’ single season in the Premiership he made 18 starts and touched down four tries, last season scoring five tries in 19 outings.
Newcastle Falcons director of rugby Dean Richards said: “Nick is an experienced centre who was available at the right time for us,” Richards told the Newcastle Falcons website.
“He is English-qualified, he has a lot going for him and we have an extended opportunity now to have a close look at him during the back half of this season.”
