According to reports coming out of Australia, former Wallabies centre Anthony Fainga’a has announced that he will be heading to Japan at the end of the season having signed for the Kintetsu Liners.

The 29-year-old joined the Reds in 2009 and went on to win the Super Rugby title with them in 2011.

He made his debut for Australia in 2010 and has gone on to earn 29 Test caps for the national team.

Fainga’a has been a prominent member of the Reds starting team this year, however it is believed that he is not part of the team’s future plans.

He will not be alone in Japan with Reds teammate Chris Feauia-Sautia also being snapped up by the Kintetsu Liners, however Feauia-Sautia will be back to represent the Reds in Super Rugby next year.
