Exeter Chiefs flanker Dave Ewers will have his knee scanned on Tuesday after an injury during his side’s game against Bordeaux Begles.
The flanker has already faced a lengthy spell on the sidelines after missing nine games with a knee injury.
Exeter Chiefs coach Rob Baxter says that they won’t know how long he will be out for until the scan.
“Dave Ewers has picked up a bit of a knock to his knee and will have a scan on Tuesday night,” Baxter told Echo Sport.
“It is very difficult to tell the extent of it at the moment, but everyone has their fingers crossed it is not too serious because he has already missed some games because of a knee problem this season.
“He has had issues with both knees in the last season or so and he has another injury now. We’ll just have to wait and see.”
