Danny Care, Semesa Rokoduguni and Kyle Eastmond were this evening released from the England training camp.

The trio will return to their clubs in order to give them additional training time ahead of Friday’s Aviva Premiership match at the Recreation Ground between Bath and Harlequins.

None of the players featured in Saturday’s win over Samoa, with neither Rokoduguni nor Eastmond considered because of injury while Care was dropped from the matchday squad.

The Bath pair both featured in Premiership action this weekend, but have not done enough to convince Stuart Lancaster they deserve a recall, while Care was a replacement in Quins’ home defeat to Sale.

England take on Australia at Twickenham looking for a second straight win after the success against Samoa.

Prior to that game they had lost five straight games, four on the trot to New Zealand before a narrow loss to South Africa.
