Edinburgh will bounce back – Ford

Edinburgh hooker Ross Ford is confident his side can return to the victory trail when they face the Dragons at Murrayfield on Friday.

Two weeks ago, Alan Solomons' troops secured a 23-18 victory at London Irish which booked their place in the last four of the competition but they suffered heavy 34-3 defeat at home to Munster in the PRO12 on Saturday.

And Ross – who has played in 85 Tests for Scotland – believes they can turn thing around against the Welsh region this weekend.

"The weekend was not ideal by any stretch of the imagination but we know we're a good team when we perform well," Ford told BBC Scotland.

"We've got an opportunity to go out and train and rectify the things that need to be done."

A victory will mean that Edinburgh will become the first Scottish side to reach a European rugby final.

"If you had said we'd get to the semi-final we would've jumped at the chance," added Ford.

"We've got ourselves here through some hard work and given ourselves an opportunity now."
