Edinburgh keep on rolling

Edinburgh made it three wins from three as they battled past the Ospreys 20-9 at Murrayfield on Friday.

The Ospreys opened up an early 6-0 lead thanks to two Sam Davies penalties, but Edinburgh then hit back with a try from Phil Burleigh just before the break.

He went over with the visitors down to 14 after Nicky Smith was sin-binned for pulling down a maul, with Greig Tonks converting from the touchline to make it 7-6 to Edinburgh.

The Ospreys led at the half though, Davies slotting another penalty just before the break, but that would be it for the Welsh side.

A Tonks penalty early in the second half made it 10-9 to the hosts, and their task got easier when Olly Cracknell was the second Osprey sin-binned, for a late tackle.

Tonks knocked over the resulting penalty to push the lead out to four before a late try for Jon Andress sealed the win, converted by Jack Cuthbert.

The win takes Edinburgh temporarily top of the Pro 12, while the Ospreys are still winless after three games.
