Toulouse flanker Thierry Dusautoir has revealed that talks have taken place regarding a potential move to the Premiership next season.
While nothing is finalised, the France captain has been in contact and holds the league in high regard.
Bath, Leicester and London Irish have all been linked with the 67 Test back-row star.
“The English league is something that has always appealed to me, but nothing is set in stone over my future,” said Dusautoir.
“There has of course been contact with clubs, but nothing has been decided.”
Dusautoir’s attention for now is turning towards the November Tests with France, with the Rugby World Cup drawing ever closer.
“It is clear that the target of the French team at the end of this finishing straight will be the World Cup,” added Dusautoir.
“Over the past two years the results have not been satisfying and we are conscious that we are behind in comparison to the Southern Hemisphere countries.
“We will continue to look for answers, notably in attack.
“When you’re captain, you are always affected by the team’s results.
“When we lose obviously you feel responsible, you search for reasons as to why it happened. But there’s also no point in torturing yourself over it, it’s more important to think of your team-mates and rebuild their confidence.”
