Waratahs second-row Kane Douglas is set to leave the Sydney-based franchise to join Irish province Leinster.

According to a report, in the Sunday Times in London, Leinster will announce the signing on Tuesday.

24-year-old Douglas has started every match for the Waratahs this year but it has been reported that he was looking to move abroad after after receiving an unsatisfactory top-up on his cyrrent contract from the Australian Rugby Union.

“This will ruffle a few feathers,” a source in Australian rugby told The Sunday Times.

“It's one thing losing a guy in his 30s but there's been a fair bit of investment in Kane, who is just coming into his best years.”

Douglas has represented his country in 14 Tests but a move to Leinster will rule him out of contention for the Wallabies' 2015 World Cup squad.
