The possibility of Stuart Lancaster joining Toulon appears to be over with Diego Dominguez reportedly set to stay at the club.
Speculation earlier this month suggested that Toulon may part ways with the former Italy international, who shadowed Bernard Laporte during the Frenchman’s final campaign before taking over ahead of this season.
Dominguez allegedly was unhappy about the prospect of working with scrum coach Marc del Maso, who helped out with Japan during last year’s Rugby World Cup.
However according to Midi Olympique those differences have now been settled, with Dominguez to take charge of a coaching staff that consists of Steve Meehan (backs), Jacques Delmas (lineout), Del Maso (scrum) and Shaun Edwards (defence).
Lancaster and former All Blacks coach Graham Henry were previously both listed as potential candidates to take over should Dominguez depart.
