Dominguez tipped for Toulon job

Diego Dominguez is being lined up to replace Bernard Laporte as Toulon boss at the end of the season according to L’Equipe.

Former France boss Laporte will step down at the end of the season as he seeks to become the president of the French federation (FFR).

As a result Mourad Boudjellal has been on the lookout for his next coach, with Oyonnax boss Christophe Urios one of those heavily linked.

He will instead take over at former club Castres at the end of the campaign, and as a result it appears that 48-year-old Dominguez is Boudjellal’s man.

The former Italy and Argentina international, who is one of just five men to have scored 1000 international points, has not coached previously, but knows the French league well having spent eight seasons with Stade Fran
