Maori All Blacks back-row Elliot Dixon has played down suggestions that he should be selected for the All Blacks.
Dixon is in superb form and after helping the Highlanders secure their maiden Super Rugby title, with a man-of-the-match performance, he scored the match-winning try in the Maori All Blacks' 27-26 victory against Fiji in Suva at the weekend.
The 25-year-old has put those performances behind him and is now preparing for the Maori All Blacks' clash with the New Zealand Barbarians at Eden Park on Saturday.
"I'm focusing on just playing a good brand of rugby with the Maori boys," Dixon told TVNZ.
If I keep playing well whatever happens I'm not pleading for anything I just want to play some good code."
