Sale boss Steve Diamond has rejected Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall's concern over Sale's trip to Exeter this weekend.
Defeat to Exeter last week pushed Saracens out of the top four with only one round to go.
The 2011 champions face relegated London Welsh on the final day of the regular season, boosting their chances of making the play-offs with Leicester at home to Northampton Saints.
Exeter and Saracens are tied on points difference, with McCall referencing earlier in the week Sale's 65-10 hammering from Munster earlier this season in the Champions Cup after they had been eliminated, but Diamond dismissed any talk of another collapse.
"I think he should just concentrate on motivating his own team," Diamond told the BBC.
"All they've got to do is beat London Welsh like everybody else has done, it's ridiculous.
"When people are most desperate, they say the most desperate things.
"I think he is disappointed that his own motivation isn't good enough to get that Harlem Globetrotter team to beat a really good, workman side like Exeter."
