Leicester Tigers can confirm that defence coach Scott Hansen has left the club's coaching staff, just five games into the season.

Hansen arrived at Welford Road at the start of the 2015/16 season, working as defence coach and scrum-half coach.

A Tigers spokesman said: "We would like to thank Scott for his commitment and his hard work with the Tigers and we wish him all the best for the future."

Scott Hansen said: "It was a privilege to have worked within the Tigers environment, surrounded everyday with quality people, coaches, players, and management.

"My family and I will truly miss the energy and avid support from the Tigers supporters at Welford Road. The Leicester Tigers have given me great opportunities to learn and grow as a person and coach which I am grateful for, I wish the organisation and all involved all the very best going forward."
