While Robbie Deans, sympathises with England coach Stuart Lancaster, he revealed that he is not interested in coaching England.

Lancaster has been at the centre of the British media’s attention since Saturday evening, when England bowed out of the 2015 Rugby World Cup following their loss to Australia.

While the former Leeds player is contracted until 2020, England’s capitulation suggests that Lancaster could be looking for a new job after the World Cup.

However, Deans – who has a lucrative post in charge of Japanese club Panasonic Wild Knights – is not interested.

“No, I have a coaching job,” the 53-year-old told New Zealand’s TV3.

“It’s a brutal arena, I wish him well, and I think as rugby matures, I think there is a greater appreciation for experience that there used to be.

“Historically we tended to discard coaches when they’re at the height of their learning.”

So far, former Springbok coach Jake White and Australian mastermind Eddie Jones have expressed interest in the England job.
