Wales have been struck by another blow ahead of their tour to South Africa as sturdy second-row Bradley Davies was ruled out with an injury.
The Cardiff Blue, who is set to move to Wasps for 2014/15, has had surgery on a hamstring injury, with the Welsh Rugby Union explaining more.
“Bradley Davies underwent surgery yesterday for a damaged hamstring, ruling him out of contention of Wales' tour of South Africa,” read a statement.
Warren Gatland's side face South Africa without the likes of injured quartet Sam Warburton, Leigh Halfpenny, Justin Tipuric and Scott Williams.
