Scarlets scrum-half Gareth Davies is looking forward to the challenge of trying to force his way back into the starting XV at the region.
The 24-year-old, who was outstanding in the PRO12 last season as he topped the try chart, recently returned from a knee ligament injury.
But Davies is under no illusions of the task he faces, with team-mates Aled Davies and Rhodri Williams also battling for regular game time.
“There are some good scrum-halves in Wales and two here in Aled and Rhodri (Williams), but it is a challenge I am looking forward to taking on,” he told the South Wales Evening Post ahead of the Scarlets’ Guinness PRO12 clash with Glasgow at Scotstoun Stadium on Friday.
“At the moment I am not thinking about Wales, I just need some game time to get some confidence in my knee and in my game. Confidence is a big thing for me.”
