Crusaders full-back Israel Dagg should make his long-awaited return from injury next week against the Jaguares.
Dagg was in Perth as cover on Friday for the win over the Force, as he edges closer to coming back from a serious shoulder injury suffered last November.
Ben Volavola started at full-back against the Force in the absence of the injured David Havili, who impressed on tour in South Africa, but Dagg's experience will give the Crusaders a valuable extra weapon to call upon next week.
"He will be in the mix somewhere this week," head coach Todd Blackadder told Stuff.
"The amount of training you can put into these guys is unbelievable. We certainly would expect him to be at his best coming back, but not far from it. He is itching to get out there."
With the Jaguares having recalled a number of rested players, including captain Agustín Creevy, Blackadder is prepared to roll out his strongest possible XV for what's expected to be a physical tussle based on the Jaguares' recent outings.
"I definitely want to field our strongest side, but also believe we have depth in a lot of positions," he explained.
"We have managed to re-charge some guys and are getting a good response from the guys.
